In May 2013, Sound Pockets approached Comprise to develop a public relations strategy surrounding the launch of the Sound Pockets Freedom Case, the first iPhone case to neatly store your earbuds.
The challenge we faced is that the Sound Pockets Case was new to the market, so we needed to develop market credibility. The other challenge was the hundreds (if not thousands) of iPhone cases currently on the market, so breaking through the noise in this market called for a creative strategy.
For the launch, Comprise focused on the top 30 technology gadget reporters in the United States. Each of these reporters received a Sound Pockets case along with a product fact sheet and the launch media alert.

As a result of the product launch, Sound Pockets was reviewed by and received coverage in several top tier publications including the New York Times (both in print and online), UberGizmo and AppleTell.
After a successful launch, we shifted the focus of the program to pitch Sound Pockets for gift guides for the 2013/2014 holiday season. We secured Sound Pockets’ inclusion in several top gift guides including a national ABC News segment on holiday tech gifts, and inclusion in the Toronto Sun and amNewYork holiday gift guides.
We continue to conduct strategic public relations work for Sound Pockets on a regular basis. On top of the coverage we received for the launch and holiday campaigns, we have received coverage in USA Today, The Geek Church, 7 Kids and Us, iPhone Informer and more.
