Waxing the City approached Comprise (formerly known as Compriseagency) five years ago when they were just a small waxing salon with locations in downtown Denver, the Denver Tech Center and Boulder. Since then, Comprise has not only assisted Waxing the City with their traditional marketing communications but also created a vibrant, colorful online community that openly converses about hairy situations, waxing and manscaping.
With the creation of a media relations program, an email marketing program, The Waxing Blog, and Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare accounts, Comprise combined traditional public relations, online brand management and community building to create brand awareness with the goal of increasing sales.
Today, partially as a result of the aggressive integrated marketing approach (and partially because of the amazing quality of services and unbelievable owners), Waxing the City has grown to 12 locations spanning five states, developed and released their own branded wax, won multiple local and industry awards, and begun franchising across the U.S.
