Well let me tell you, it’s can make a bigger difference than you may think.  Color subconsciously plays a powerful role in effecting our mood, thoughts, emotions and even our buying habits.

Studies have shown that it only takes about 90 seconds for someone to subconsciously make a decision about how they feel about a person, place or product. Color assessment accounts for roughly 90 percent of this decision making process.

Color has also been proven to increase brand recognition by up to 80 percent. As you start to create your brand, take some time to research color psychology. You’ll be amazed at how much you can influence the consumer just by the color you choose to associate with your brand and marketing materials. Each person perceives colors in different ways, but here are just some of the common perceptions that specific colors have been associated with:

Red: danger, strength, power, passion, love and desire
Orange: fascination, creativity, determination, attraction, encouragement and stimulation
Yellow: joy, intellect, energy, happiness and food
Green: growth, relaxation, harmony, freshness and fertility
Blue: trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith and truth
Purple: luxury, ambition, wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity and magic
Black: elegance, formality, fear, death and evil
White: simplicity and sterility
