Good information. Last year, as I was developing a news release for a client, I decided to create a media contact list as well. In those cases where I had a reporter’s or editor’s contact info, I first asked (via email) about the best day(s) and time(s) for sending news releases. I also asked if they preferred the release as an attachment or as text inside an email.
I’d like to think that the recipient appreciated the outreach.
