As one of those strange people who enjoys writing, this quote struck me the first time I heard it because it underscores how powerful the written word can be.

A graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder’s College of Media, Communication and Information with a degree in journalism, I first wielded this power as a freelance reporter working in the Prairie Mountain Media newsroom, delivering local news to audiences across my beautiful home state of Colorado. Albeit brief, my career in journalism afforded me a wealth of experience and allowed me the ability to acquire a number of valuable skills, from reporting, writing and interviewing to the ability to tell unique and impactful stories that leverage the strengths of various digital tools.

At Comprise, I strive to harness the power of the written word to benefit my community and the world at large, telling client stories in new, different and exciting ways. From blogs and social media posts to news releases and contributed thought leadership articles, there are myriad ways to communicate a client’s message — and my expertise in crafting compelling copy helps move our clients’ businesses forward.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me cheering on one of my favorite sports teams (shout out the Nuggets, Huskers, Broncos, Avalanche and Rockies) or busting a move to some live music at Red Rocks or another local venue.
