Comprise Looks Forward to RSA 2019

RSA Conference is “where the world talks security” and what a place for me to immerse myself and learn more about this multi-billion dollar industry. I could not be more thrilled to be attending the conference in San Francisco this week. Compriseagency has three cybersecurity clients attending the show (Automox, Overwatch ID and Swimlane) this year, and our team has spent the last couple of months hard at work pitching interviews with attending media and writing content for show-related editorial opportunities.

Because of the nature of our agency, I’ve become fairly well-versed in cybersecurity—from patch management systems to automation and machine learning—but I realize I’ve only scratched the surface when it comes to learning about the myriad of technology available to help keep government, enterprise and consumers safe.

What I’m Most Looking Forward To

Microsoft and Swimlane Demo

Our client, Swimlane, a leader in SOAR (Security, Orchestration, Automation, Response) technology, is looking forward to showing off their newly-minted partnership with Microsoft’s Intelligent Security Association (MISA). They’ll be demonstrating how Microsoft’s Graph Security API integrates with the Swimlane platform and how users can retrieve alerts and launch automated workflows to conduct data enrichment, obtain threat intelligence, remediate threats and perform complex incident response actions across all Microsoft and third-party security platforms—as well as other relevant products and infrastructure.

Tina Fey’s Speech (love her!)

When I found out that Tina Fey is giving the final keynote, I definitely had a fangirl moment. She’s probably my favorite comedian/actress alive today. That said, I’m not completely sure how she will fit into the cybersecurity agenda, but I sure can’t wait to find out!

Meeting The Press!

One of my favorite things about attending conferences with my clients is meeting the members of the press that I talk to on a daily basis. It’s always so nice to put a face to a name, thank them in person for great coverage, and share the (occasional) alcoholic beverage (after working hours, of course).

In a nutshell, I’m ready to support my wonderful clients, fangirl out and meet the folks who have helped keep my clients in the media limelight. But most of all, I am very much looking forward to expanding my knowledge and learning all I can about the cybersecurity space.
