Our Work
Comprise began by working with the client to determine its goals for the new brand, which was conveying the symphony’s deep-rooted connection to the Boulder community while incorporating music-centric visual elements. The resulting logo utilized a stylized rendition of the Boulder Flatirons and integrated shapes and outlines that reference the harp and piano.
The website redesign focused on improving the user experience and content architecture. Comprise worked closely with Boulder Symphony staff to organize and condense groups of existing content into a series of core pages that offer a variety of relevant information in a single place. The content reorganization and migration to a new content management system (CMS) also simplified the process of adding and updating content.
The new website utilizes elements like pop-ups, expandable sections and scrolling navigation to increase visual interest and interaction with the site. These elements also helped create a more engaging user experience while organizing information in an intuitive and efficient manner.
The Results
Before the redesign, the Boulder Symphony managed 214 pages across two separate websites. Comprise successfully reduced the page count by 23% while consolidating the two sites into a single domain. Website traffic also increased by 182% following the redesign. Additional notable website enhancements include better information organization and improved interactivity to deliver a stronger user experience.
